A fraturday is a Saturday in which Fraternity bros get dressed in their 'frattire' (polos, backwards hats, khakis, and frat flops) drink beer on the 'fratio' while grilling and playing brotastic music along the lines of Oasis, Third Eye Blind, Dave Matthews, and many others
You wake up early hungover on a friday morning for class/work and come home after to nap for 6 hours. When you wake up again, it feels like a new day, so its not friday anymore, and its not saturday yet either. Its Fraturday.
A hybrid word similar to Brunch. When you have a Friday off work and it feels like a Saturday.
A Fraturday is a span of time from a Friday to a Saturday in which bodies are pushed to the extreme and no sleep is had. The typical Fraturday involves outdoor activities such as skiing, snowboarding, longboarding, running, biking, hiking, climbing, followed by raving or partying. Drugs and/or alcohol can be included, but are not always helpful in remaining awake for the full 24 hours. Fraturday is often comprised of two stages, the outdoor, physical stage, which typically happens during the day. The second stage takes place at night, and involves raving or any other form of partying and possibly more outdoor activity. The standard Fraturday is often so fun yet physically draining that it tends to lead to utter collapse at the end of the event.
Typically after 1200pm when the party mentality hits. However Fraturday doesnt truly begin until you are off work. Partiers like to describe this as the time between Friday and Saturday you can't seem to remember; whether it be because you were way too drunk or partying extremely hard.
It's the word used to describe a Friday night that turns into a Saturday morning. If you don't sleep then it only really counts as one day in your confused drunken brain.
